Its dignified presence exudes a quiet, evocative presence, reflecting Watanabe Riki's yearning for the sea. Designed in 1979 for interior use, this clock is Watanabe's personal interpretation of the marine clock genre, known for its distinctive ambiance and specific to marine applications. Watanabe has a strong attachment to these clocks, having collected several.

With a stainless steel frame that emits a dull glow and features a stepped finish, a machined aluminum endpaper, original brass decorative screws, and a chamfered acrylic crystal, this exquisite piece skillfully incorporates modern elements into a classic design.

The Arabic numerals in the Didoni typeface, which he is particularly particular about, were carefully crafted through repeated trial and error to find the right balance with the frame shape and materials, resulting in a truly refined design. Choose from a version with Arabic numerals that resembles a marine clock, or a version without a second hand, featuring more subdued Roman numerals.
