With representative works in the permanent collection of over 30 museums world wide, Takenobu Igarashi was Japan's leading designer and multidisciplinary artist of the modern time.

With many important works in the permanent collection including The Museum of Modern Art in New York City (MoMA), Igarashi had developed his unique approach to typography designs and created official logos for world-class brands such as Suntory.

 

The Sapporo Train Station of Hokkaido, the main train station of the capital city of the Hokkaido Prefecture, Japan, has Igarashi's design timepiece the Eki Clock installed in the lobby both as a public art and the station's interior clock.

The public design installation has two colors white clock face with black dial and on the other side, the inverted version with a black clock face and white dial.

 

Handmade by Lemnos craftsmen in Toyama Japan in Aluminum, the Eki Clock by Takenobu Igarashi is commercially available in 3 colors, White, Black, and Gray (15th Year Anniversary Model).
