Designed by Yota Kakuda, product designer known for his work with MUJI, the City Pop Collection is Kakuda’s tribute to the nostalgic revival of City Pop—the distinctive popular music movement that emerged in Japan during the 1970s and 1980s.
 
The City Pop Alarm Clock distills the design into its essential elements, combining crisp numerals, precise lines, and a geometric composition. The dial is designed to reveal the time from specific viewing angles, creating a subtle interplay between visibility and design.
 
The City Pop Alarm Clock does not include a snooze function.
