Winner of the Good Design Award in 2010 and the A’ Design Award & Competition Silver Award in 2018, the original CARVED Clock was designed by architect Naoki Terada and is made from a special mineral-based artificial wood.
 
Terada created the clock face by carving the time markers directly into the surface using three different styles: Arabic numerals (A), Roman numerals (B), and lines (C). By removing rather than adding elements to the dial, the clock becomes both a timepiece and a sculptural object.
 
The CARVED Clock has a smooth, pastel matte white surface that highlights the carved details and the material itself. Due to the nature of the material, additional processing time may be required before shipment. Clean gloves are recommended when handling the clock for the first time.
 
CARVED BIRCH WOOD
CARVED BIRCH WOOD is a variation of the CARVED series made with birch wood. The natural grain and texture of the wood give the design a warmer appearance while maintaining the simple carved clock face.
 
CARVED Swing Pendulum
The CARVED Swing removes the number 6 from the clock face and places it on a pendulum that moves slowly and silently as time passes. The simple movement adds a subtle sense of motion to the sculptural design.
 
CARVED Superellipse Pendulum
The CARVED Superellipse features a special hybrid shape between a circle and a square. A thin red stainless steel pendulum extends from the clock body and moves silently with the passage of time. Its simple form and quiet movement give the clock a distinctive presence.
 
CARVED S
CARVED S is a smaller version of the original CARVED Clock, available in the A, B, and C dial designs. Its compact 10-inch size makes it suitable for spaces where a smaller clock is preferred.
