COO is a contemporary reinterpretation of the traditional cuckoo clock, combining perforated metal with a refined architectural form.
 
Its silhouette is created by bending a metal plate into a gentle semicircle, inspired by the arched windows found in historic Western architecture. The contrast between the industrial character of metal and the softness of the curved form gives COO an unexpectedly warm and approachable presence.
 
The perforated front panel features a pattern of precisely arranged circular openings. A larger opening houses the cuckoo, creating a playful contrast with the smaller perforations and giving the clock a light, airy appearance. The hour markers are carefully aligned with selected openings, integrating the functional elements of the clock seamlessly into the overall design.
 
Available in White, Ivory, Mint Blue, and Green, each colorway combines a calm, versatile base with subtle accent colors on the hands and hour markers.
 
The case is crafted from perforated sheet metal using cutting, bending, welding, and painting techniques refined through generations of metalworking in Japan’s Niigata region. The precision-punched surface keeps the clock lightweight while maintaining the durability and refined finish of metal.
