CUCU is a Lemnos classic and the brand’s first cuckoo clock, designed by Yuichi Nara. First introduced more than 15 years ago, it has remained in continuous production and become one of Lemnos’ long-standing signature timepieces.
 
Inspired by the simple form of a traditional birdhouse, CUCU tells the time with the charming call of a cuckoo accompanied by the gentle murmur of a brook. Its restrained silhouette was intentionally designed to avoid feeling overly defined, allowing the clock to blend naturally into a variety of living spaces.
 
The current CUCU is crafted from solid Japanese Chestnut wood, with an oil finish that brings out the natural grain and gives the surface a warm, smooth feel. The wood is designed to develop greater character over time, making CUCU a timepiece that can become part of the home for years to come.
 
CUCU can be displayed either on the wall or as a tabletop clock. A built-in light sensor automatically puts the cuckoo into sleep mode when the room becomes dark, while two-step volume control allows the sound to be adjusted or turned off.
